Belgium

• 5^th Worldwide Security Conference, Brussels on 19-21 February 2008. Worldwide Security Conference has expanded from a response to confusion on both sides of the Atlantic following 9/11 and the ensuing U.S. Patriot Act to a larger, global conference covering the security debate in its broadest sense. The conference will focus on combating terrorists and violent extremists. Workshops will examine current issues with various aspects of civil defense and improving cooperation between business, governments and people on a global scale. A Special Session will consider weapons of mass destruction. Recommendations generated from this conference will be brought before relevant governments, international institutions and actors in leading business circles.
