Prizes already announced include a new book on planning and managing security awareness programs (“Managing an Information Security and Privacy Awareness and Training Program” by Rebecca Herold), along with the global recognition that winning this competition will bring.

Notes for editors (not intended for publication)

GSW was launched in June 2005 by a small band of volunteers. The inaugural GSW event took place on September 5th to 11th 2005. Dates for the next five years are published on the GSW website GlobalSecurityWeek.com in order to give event organizers plenty of time to coordinate future activities.

GSW is a not-for-profit project. The organizers are donating their time and incidental expenses (such as the cost of this press release) for the greater good of the Internet community. Your support in the form of advance publicity for GSW 2006 would be much appreciated.

The organizing committee would be pleased to answer any questions about the logo competition or about GSW in general. Please address any press queries by email to .
